The Kogi East Arise Movement, led by Engr. Sunday Anaja, claims there are plans to deny Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho the APC Senate ticket. Echocho is a key grassroots figure credited with strengthening the party across nine local governments. The group warns that replacing him with a candidate tied to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar could deepen divisions and weaken support for Tinubu. It says politically aware voters may resist imposed candidates. Debate among APC stakeholders has intensified. Party loyalists are calling on leaders to prioritise unity and avoid actions that could benefit the opposition ahead of 2027.
