Adesanya: McGregor Owes Chandler That Comeback Fight

Israel Adesanya says Conor McGregor should finally give Michael Chandler the long-awaited showdown when he recovers from UFC 329. McGregor’s return ended with a second leg injury just 69 seconds into his clash with Max Holloway. Speaking on the Precision podcast with Demetrious Johnson, Adesanya noted that Chandler has been sidelined for years waiting for this fight. Adesanya argued that McGregor “honeyd*cked” Chandler by pulling out of their scheduled bout and deserves to settle their rivalry. He believes this matchup makes the most sense for both men and would give Conor a fitting finale to his UFC career. Chandler has stayed ready since their planned UFC 303 fight was cancelled. Adesanya says matching him with McGregor is the only logical next step when Conor returns.
