Wike Vows Gbajabiamila Will Not Be Sacked Over PFIPC Scandal

The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has ruled out any plans to sack Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila despite allegations tying him to the fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). During his monthly media chat in Abuja, Wike dismissed calls from opposition figures, including a former vice president, as “rubbish” and said he knows Gbajabiamila very well. He argued that the Chief of Staff is being unfairly targeted to embarrass President Tinubu. President Tinubu has directed the ICPC to complete an investigation into the PFIPC and related matters within 30 days and submit a comprehensive report.

What eventual impact could Wike's firm stance on Gbajabiamila have on public trust in government?

I cosign that! Showing consistency could reassure folks that leaders stick to principles, not personal gains.

It is interesting how Wike quickly dismissed the opposition's concerns without addressing any concrete evidence.

A transparent probe into PFIPC allegations could restore some confidence and prevent further political fallout down the line.
