Senator Oluremi Tinubu Opens Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic and Health-Tech Academy in Jigawa — 1 of 2
1 / 2

In Hadejia, Jigawa State, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu inaugurated a fully equipped kidney disease clinic built by FutureMap Foundation and eHealth Africa. Named the Oluremi Tinubu Clinic, it focuses on early detection and prevention of chronic kidney disease among vulnerable communities. Alongside the clinic, the Federal Government, through NITDA, launched the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Health-Tech Academy. This centre will train youths and health workers to develop digital tools and data-driven solutions for healthcare challenges. These initiatives coincide with the creation of the National Health Technology and Data Analytics Office and a new Community Food Bank Programme for the North-West. They reflect a strengthened federal-state collaboration on healthcare, food security and social protection for underserved Nigerians.

Community leaders should organise regular outreach programmes to inform people about the new clinic's services and encourage routine kidney function checks.
