Tinubu Inaugurates 198km Bwari Water Pipeline, Pledges Clean Water for All FCT Satellite Towns — 1 of 4

President Bola Tinubu commissioned the Bwari Township Water Supply Network Project in the Federal Capital Territory. He vowed to extend clean, treated water to every FCT satellite town under his Renewed Hope Agenda. Speaking through First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, he described access to safe water as a fundamental right. He noted that past administrations focused mainly on Abuja’s city centre while other communities remained neglected. The 198-kilometre pipeline, built by China Geo-engineering Construction, links the Lower Usuma Dam to Bwari, Ushafa and surrounding areas. Tinubu highlighted that over 1,600 direct and indirect jobs were created during the project. He assured residents that similar water expansion efforts will soon cover Kuje, Kwali, Gwagwalada and Abaji. He also urged locals to safeguard the new facility from vandalism.
