Tinubu Orders Permanent Security Reinforcement at NIPSS After Bandit Attack
President Bola Tinubu has directed immediate and lasting security upgrades at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies in Kuru, Plateau State, after a bandit raid on the institute’s perimeter. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the president offered condolences to the families of two soldiers and one police officer who were killed. Emergency measures are to be activated at once, and a full security plan covering surveillance, personnel, access control and emergency systems must be submitted within 72 hours. Weekly progress reports will follow until the reinforcement is complete. The Vice President praised the resilience and discipline of Senior Executive Course 48 participants and affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the families of the fallen officers. Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang also approved additional security lights and a buffer zone around the campus to further strengthen protection.
