Rashidat Dominates Ogun Women Run, Claims ₦500,000 Prize

Adebayo Adeyemi Rashidat stamped her authority on the 2026 Ogun Women Run by completing the 5km course in 30:15.61. She took home the ₦500,000 top prize for her outstanding performance. The event in Abeokuta drew about 1,000 women. Alawode Omotayo Adiat finished second in 31:09.46 to earn ₦300,000, while Akoni Oluwanifemi placed third in 31:18.65 for ₦200,000. Brussel Sports Management’s MD praised the smooth organisation. Former Women Affairs Commissioner Adijat Adeleye and Sports Development Commissioner Wasiu Isiaka flagged off the race. They thanked the Ogun State Government and sponsors for their support.
