CSP Iniedu’s Emotional Tribute to Fallen Officers and Call for Unity
Chief Superintendent of Police Iniedu A.O., head of the Complaint Response Unit at Force Headquarters Abuja, delivered a heartfelt reflection on the sacrifices of officers during a recent parade. Seeing traces of his own late father in the crisp salute of a young constable, he recalled growing up in a barracks where “daddy might not come back.” The bugle honoring the fallen revived memories of calls that never came home. He stressed that tears at the parade were not weakness, but the weight of memory and sacrifice. He mourned colleagues lost in service and urged Nigerians to bridge the gap between police and citizens through trust and collaboration. “Our pledge is transparency. Our request is collaboration. Our covenant is accountability,” he declared. He asked Nigerians to embrace officers as partners in nation building and called for unity in strengthening national security.
