CP Akin Fakorede Takes Helm of FCID Anti-Fraud Unit in Alagbon, Lagos

CP Akin Fakorede Takes Helm of FCID Anti-Fraud Unit in Alagbon, Lagos

Commissioner of Police Akin Victor Fakorede has officially resumed duty as head of the Anti-Fraud Unit at the Force Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (FCID) annex on Alagbon Close, Lagos. This appointment follows his tenure leading the IGP Monitoring Unit in Abuja. Earlier media reports suggesting his removal were inaccurate, as a national news outlet clarified his promotion to a more senior role. CP Fakorede succeeds AIG Simeon Udofia Akpanudom, now Assistant Inspector-General of Police at the FCID Headquarters in Lagos. Alagbon Close remains the training ground for top officers, including the current IGP and DIG Margaret Ochalla.

I'm not convinced a change in personnel alone will tackle deep-rooted corruption without broader systemic reforms.

Make sure transparent performance metrics guide his work at the FCID annex, then we go see real results.
