Troops Nab Suspected Security Impersonator in Jos South, Plateau State
Troops from Operation Enduring Peace in Plateau State arrested a man posing as security personnel during a routine patrol in Latya community, Jos South, at around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Officials recovered a police staff ID bearing AP/No 190470 SP Aondona Lorpuu, an NSCDC identification tag, a vehicle plate number and other personal effects. The suspect failed to give satisfactory explanations during initial questioning. The individual and the exhibits were handed over to Keystone B Division in Bukuru for further investigation. Security agencies continue to warn that impersonating military and police officers endangers public safety and national security.
