Egbeda/Ona-Ara APC Stakeholders Demand 2027 Reps Seat Rotation Over Imbalance

Egbeda/Ona-Ara APC Stakeholders Demand 2027 Reps Seat Rotation Over Imbalance

Stakeholders from Egbeda and Ona-Ara Federal Constituency have begun visits to key APC leaders, urging the party to rotate the 2027 House of Representatives ticket. They say Egbeda has held the seat for about 20 years while Ona-Ara has only had it for eight, calling the practice unfair. The group carried placards and met party figures including Sarafa Alli, Yunus Akintunde, Hamzat Adeseun and Teslim Folarin. A spokesperson warned that any attempt to sideline Ona-Ara aspirants would be rejected, despite acknowledging the incumbent’s right to recontest. Senator Alli received their letter and promised to raise the issue at the next stakeholders meeting. Senator Akintunde also assured them their concerns would reach the relevant party authorities for fair consideration.
