Deputy Speaker’s Wife Accuses Him of Deceit and Betrayal

Dr. Ezinne Kalu, chairperson of Abia State University Teaching Hospital and wife of the Deputy Speaker, has publicly accused her husband of a long pattern of lies and betrayal. In a statement shared privately before leaking to the press, she called him “a terrible soul” and “a fraudster” who lied to the people they served, to the President, and even to his spiritual leader. She said she feels “ashamed” for having trusted him. Kalu is under investigation for alleged certificate forgery. Mrs. Kalu warned that she will “expose everything” about his character in due time. The Deputy Speaker’s office says the matter is under review. Her recent appointment as ABSUTH board chair by Governor Alex Otti had already stirred political debate across party lines.
