Chief’s Son Arrested in Bayelsa for Pouring Fuel and Setting Man Ablaze

A man identified as Ibobuminaten Oweifa, son of a traditional ruler in Okodi community, Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa State, has been arrested for allegedly setting a young man on fire over suspected theft. In a viral video, the victim, identified as Godgift Biko, is shown tied up and begging for mercy as Oweifa pours fuel on him and ignites it. Bayelsa State Police confirmed the arrest. The victim is receiving treatment in hospital for burn injuries. The suspect will be arraigned once the ongoing investigation concludes.
