Chelsea are reportedly preparing a move for Atalanta centre-back Giorgio Scalvini after completing the signing of Danny Welbeck. Scalvini, 22, was a teammate of Nigeria's Ademola Lookman at Atalanta and played a role in the Italian club's 2024 Europa League success. He has made more than 100 appearances for his boyhood club. Reports say Chelsea have contacted the defender's representatives, while Atalanta are expected to demand at least £42 million. The Italian international is also said to be open to a Premier League move.
