FCID Lagos Annex Prohibits POS Operations, AIG Stresses Discipline
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police at the FCID Annex in Lagos has banned all Point of Sale (POS) activities within the premises. This directive follows orders from the Inspector-General of Police to safeguard operational integrity and curb corrupt practices. Officers were urged to uphold professionalism and follow due process in every task. Intelligence reports must now be thoroughly vetted by sectional heads before any action is taken. The AIG warned against unprofessional conduct, emphasising respect for hierarchy, strict supervision of personnel, and adherence to established procedures—particularly regarding land-related disputes. He reminded officers that breaches of these standards will attract disciplinary measures and called on all personnel to remain committed to integrity and national service.
