Amenu Uburu to Hold Iri Ji Festival in Ebonyi on August 31
The Amenu Uburu community in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State will hold its Iri Ji festival on August 31, 2026, at Amaorji, Uburu. The festival is themed “Coming Together in Unity, Celebrating Our Heritage, Building Our Tomorrow.” Organisers say it will be a time of thanksgiving, cultural celebration, unity and renewal for sons and daughters of Amenu at home and in the diaspora. The event will also provide an opportunity for community stakeholders to discuss development priorities and strengthen support for residents. The Amenu Welfare Union Worldwide has branches across Nigeria and runs community-focused initiatives, including medical outreaches and welfare support. The union’s president-general urged Amenu indigenes to attend and work together for the community’s unity and progress.
