UN Warns Hamas Is Hindering Life-Saving Aid in Gaza

A senior UN official says Hamas fighters are disrupting food deliveries and intimidating humanitarian workers in northern Gaza. The UN’s humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian territories reported that armed men stormed a World Food Programme distribution point, assaulted two truck drivers, and forced teams to halt relief operations. Hamas denies these claims and insists its police were targeting smuggled goods inside aid parcels rather than obstructing humanitarian work. After more than two years of conflict, Gaza remains heavily damaged. Most of its two million residents now live in tents or ruined buildings, while Israeli forces control over 60% of the territory’s access points.
