Bruce Lee was a pioneering actor, director and martial arts master. He starred in classics such as The Chinese Connection and Enter the Dragon. His work reshaped action cinema around the world. Born Lee Jun-fan on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco, Bruce grew up in Hong Kong. His father was a Cantonese opera star and his mother had mixed Eurasian roots. He returned to the US to teach martial arts and soon broke into film and television. From The Big Boss to Game of Death, Bruce Lee blended fierce fighting and deep philosophy. He made his Hollywood debut in Enter the Dragon, which became a global blockbuster. His directorial turn in The Way of the Dragon featured the iconic Chuck Norris duel. He married student-turned-wife Linda in 1964 and they had two children, Brandon and Shannon. Bruce died suddenly at 32 from cerebral edema in 1973. Though his net worth was modest at death, his estate is now valued in the tens of millions. His influence on martial arts, film and popular culture remains unmatched.
