Lagos to Host Carnival Calabar’s 2026 Theme Unveiling Gala
The Carnival Calabar Commission will host its annual theme unveiling on 31 May at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. This event sets the creative direction for the 21st Carnival Calabar. It also brings together stakeholders, sponsors and members of the diplomatic community as part of preparations for the December street parade. EU Ambassador Gautier Mignot will serve as Special Guest of Honour, while Ambassador Paulo Santos of Portugal will be Guest of Honour at the Lagos gala. In preparation, Chairman Dr. Gabe Onah and Marketing Consultant Mrs. Mary Egbas visited Multichoice Nigeria. They discussed plans for digital transformation and global streaming of Africa’s biggest street dance parade.
