Okara Laments Missed Chances as Bayelsa United Lose 1-0 to Abia Warriors

Bayelsa United technical adviser Meremu Okara blamed his side’s wastefulness for their 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors. The only goal came in the second half from former NPFL top scorer Chukwuemeka Obioma. Okara pointed to missed opportunities and defensive lapses as the key factors. He noted that his team created several chances but failed to convert them, while a careless moment at the back allowed their opponents to find the net. Following the loss, Bayelsa United remain 16th on the NPFL table. They will look to bounce back when they host Wikki Tourists this weekend.

Fair enough, they're guilty of wasting sitter after sitter; they should drill under-pressure finishing until it becomes instinct.

It seems blaming wasted opportunities overlooks how a single lapse at the back proved more costly than missed strikes.
