Amorim Says AC Milan Must “Suffer” After 3-0 Pre-Season Loss to Chelsea

Ruben Amorim is still seeking his first win as AC Milan manager after a difficult start to pre-season. Milan drew 1-1 with Inter and 2-2 with Celtic before losing 3-0 to Chelsea. Chelsea controlled the match, while Milan’s use of Amorim’s familiar 3-4-2-1 formation again raised questions about whether players are being asked to adapt too quickly to unfamiliar roles. After the defeat, Amorim said his side expected to suffer against Chelsea and needed matches of that level to prepare for the season. His comments have fuelled concern among supporters, who fear the struggles associated with his Manchester United spell could follow him to Milan.

Do you think the 3-4-2-1 needs more time, or has Chelsea's control exposed an early problem Milan must address?

Do you feel the bigger concern is the formation itself, or how quickly the players can adapt to it?

Calling it suffering may sound tough, but pre-season results alone should not decide whether Amorim's approach can work at Milan.

Milan should use the remaining friendlies to sharpen the 3-4-2-1, especially how they cope when opponents control possession.
