Troops Neutralise Insurgents, Seize Arms in Borno and Yobe Operations

An operational report from the Joint Task Force North-East outlines recent military successes across Borno and Yobe States. In Gwoza LGA, troops of the 153 Task Force Battalion engaged militants on motorcycles, neutralising two suspects and recovering a radio and two bikes. In Dikwa LGA, a forest guard found injured was declared dead; his weapon was retrieved for investigation. Further patrols in Mallam Fatori recovered 166 rounds of PKT ammunition and a bandolier believed to belong to fleeing insurgents. In Yobe’s Bursari LGA, Battle Group 1 carried out clearance operations to restrict militant freedom of movement.
