Tragic Crash: Roadside Hawker Fatally Struck by SUV in Okokomaiko

A roadside hawker lost his life after a Lexus SUV ran him over on the busy Okokomaiko corridor in Lagos State on Sunday, April 19. The adult male vendor died instantly from the impact. Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority arrived quickly to secure the scene and clear the victim’s remains. They also managed traffic to prevent gridlock on the busy roadway. Police from the Ketu Division later conveyed the body to Badagry Mortuary. Investigations are underway to establish the exact cause of the collision and determine whether speed or other factors played a role.
