Amotekun Rescues Kidnap Victim, Arrests Father and Three Sons in Oba-Ile Akoko
The Ondo State security outfit Amotekun has rescued a kidnapped man and arrested a family of four linked to the abduction in Oba-Ile Akoko, Akoko South West LGA. Corps Commander Adetunji Adeleye named the suspects as 56-year-old Iliasu and his sons Usman (33), Wahab (27) and Yakubu (18). The gang was tracking ransom payments and used cattle to conceal their hideout. The victim suffered head wounds from knives and cutlasses and has been hospitalised. Amotekun recovered drinks, drugs, cigarettes, camouflage eye cover, and over 75% of the ransom, which has been returned to the family. The commander urged Nigerians not to pay kidnappers.
