A Willing Savior – June 11 Daily Devotional

Holyhill Church Abuja presents today’s devotional on the joyful reality of God’s salvation. Isaiah 53:4 reminds us that Christ truly bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. This was not symbolic but real—He suffered so we could have peace. Romans 10:13 assures us that “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” There is no background check or barrier; God is eager to save and to be our friend. Jesus’ sacrifice covers every person, everywhere. Healing, peace, and restoration are all possible because He paid the price on the cross. When you call on Him, you are stepping into what He has already provided, not convincing Him to be good. Reflection Questions: • Do I believe God is happy to save and help me? • Am I living in the peace Jesus has already secured? • Do I see God as a present Savior and friend? Prayer: Father, thank You for being a good and willing Savior. Help me to walk daily in the peace Jesus purchased and to trust fully in Your goodness. Amen. Declaration: I walk in the peace Christ has paid for. I am free from every burden and live in the reality of God’s saving grace. Amen.

It's striking that Isaiah emphasizes Christ's real suffering rather than a symbolic gesture. That depth often gets overlooked in modern devotionals.

It feels optimistic to assume all burdens dissolve simply because Christ bore our sorrows. Sometimes personal effort and community care still matter.

As you reflect on Romans 10:13, try a morning prayer of surrender. It might help anchor your heart in genuine peace.
