Ufere Confident Enyimba Will Bounce Back Stronger Next NPFL Season
Former Enyimba midfielder Chinedu Ufere says the People’s Elephant will enjoy a much better campaign in the next Nigeria Premier Football League season. Enyimba secured their NPFL status on the final day with a 3-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors, avoiding relegation and finishing 11th with 49 points from 38 games. Ufere admitted this season fell short of expectations but praised the coaches, players, staff and fans for their character and commitment. He believes setbacks are part of the game and that the team can learn and grow. Attention now turns to the President’s Cup, where Enyimba will face Gombe United in the Round of 32. Ufere insists the club will give its all to lift the trophy and earn a spot in continental competition.
