NRC Denies Ex-Delta SSG and Senator Were on Derailed Train

The Nigerian Railway Corporation has debunked claims that Senator Ede Dafinone and former Delta State Secretary, Mr. Patrick Ukah, were passengers on the train that derailed on the Warri–Itakpe line. In a statement made in Lagos, the Managing Director clarified the mistake and expressed regret for any embarrassment caused. He also commended both men for mobilising first responders and emergency personnel to assist at the crash site near Agbor, which claimed four lives. Earlier reports from the Federal Ministry of Transport had mistakenly included their names among the 482 people on board. The NRC thanked Dafinone and Ukah for their swift and selfless support during the rescue operations.
