Alex, who served as player recruitment lead at Grimsby Town FC, is remembered as a devoted husband to Jessica, loving father to Sebastian and Leonardo, and caring brother to Curtis and Xenna. He began his football career as a player with Stockport County and Wrexham reserves before moving into performance analysis and recruitment roles at clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City, Fulham, AFC Fylde and Morecambe. Mark Hughes enjoyed a decorated playing career at Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, winning multiple domestic and European trophies.
