Celebrating 30 Years of Full-Time Ministry: From Humble Beginnings to Revival
Exactly 30 years ago, I was ordained into full-time ministry by Bishop David Oyedepo. My journey began in a dug-out hole before reaching solid ground. Early postings took me to Ndjamena, Chad, where I faced robbery, harsh living conditions and even washed my mouth with salt. Yet revival broke out on the streets, tongues flowed and the lame walked. From Chad, I returned home, married and served in Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta and Ijebu Igbo. In 1999, my wife and I moved to Bamako, Mali. Within 90 days the Spirit moved again and a church of 60 worshippers sprang up. Later as District Pastor in Sokoto, Kebbi and Kano, and even remote villages, revival followed me everywhere I preached. My ministry has taken me from Ogbomoso to Botswana, breaking spiritual ground and planting churches. All my life, I’ve served God’s purpose with crusades, church planting and outreach to the poor. After 32 years since my first corps member post at the University of Jos Chapel of Faith, I stand as proof that you cannot attack my resurrection if you never saw my crucifixion.
