UNIBEN Medical Student Omatseye Matthew Secures Bail Ahead of MBC Exam

We at the University of Benin Medical Student Association are thrilled to announce that our colleague, Omatseye Matthew Utieyinoritseseola (MED240), has been granted bail at the Federal High Court in Asaba. After two months and two weeks at Delta State CID and four weeks at Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre, Matthew is now free to focus on his education and prepare for the MBC test on June 5, 2026. We thank the Honourable Judge, the Dean of Medicine at UNIBEN, UBEMSA members, and everyone who offered prayers and support. Today we celebrate a merciful ruling and look forward to Matthew’s return to campus. Psalm 118:23 “This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.”
