Edun Vows Stable Food Prices for Nigerians Amid Global Uncertainty

The Finance Minister, Mr Wale Edun, has assured Nigerians that the government is working to keep food prices stable amid global uncertainties. He spoke on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme, addressing concerns over geopolitical tensions and domestic reforms. He pointed to recent economic gains, including falling food costs and moderating inflation, as evidence that policy measures are yielding results. “There are no guarantees,” Edun admitted, but stressed that the administration remains focused on sustaining lower food prices. Edun added that the government’s efforts now centre on boosting domestic food production to maintain affordability and reduce supply risks.
