Why You’re Still Broke Despite Earning More
Every payday, I breathe a sigh of relief. A few weeks later, I’m already counting down to the next one. We all blame our salary, but is that really the root problem? I’ve met people earning ₦70,000 who struggle and others on ₦500,000 who remain broke. We learn to get an education and land a job. But nobody teaches us how to build wealth, create multiple income streams, or make money work for us. With inflation pushing up prices and our pay staying the same, we end up working harder yet falling further behind. Maybe being broke isn’t only about income. It’s about financial habits and opportunities we never learned. What do you think? Is salary the biggest barrier, or is there something deeper keeping most Nigerians stuck financially? I’d love to hear your perspective.
