APC Chairman Jarret Tenebe Debunks Viral AI-Generated INEC Observer Vest Photo

APC Chairman Jarret Tenebe Debunks Viral AI-Generated INEC Observer Vest Photo — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Jarret Tenebe has denied reports linking him to a viral image of an INEC observer vest during the Ekiti governorship election. He confirmed he was in Ekiti on election day but was never accredited as an observer. He says the image was AI-generated and planted by the opposition. Tenebe first saw the doctored photo on Dino Melaye’s page. He suggests Melaye posted it in retaliation after Tenebe sued him for singing the old National Anthem at an INEC protest. He warns that unchecked AI tools could cause more misinformation in future elections.

How do we confirm whether this INEC observer vest was genuinely AI-generated or part of a larger disinformation campaign?

True talk, better make we see official confirmation or credible analysis before calling the vest AI trick.

Interestingly, the chairman did admit being present at the election, yet denies any accreditation as an observer.

I'm not fully convinced AI alone explains this leak, the opposition might have exploited real credentials to sow confusion.

To avoid similar hoaxes, always compare suspected images against official INEC publications and verified accreditation lists.
