Real Warri Pikin Cancels Warri Show, Cites Tribal Tensions and Threats in Delta

Comedian Anita Asuoha, known as Real Warri Pikin, has cancelled her planned show in Warri, Delta State, citing tribal tensions and threats linked to the event. In a video, she said the divisions among Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri communities have made life difficult for her as an entertainer from the state. She said she supports people standing up for their rights but questioned why disagreements must lead to violence, oppression or intimidation. She alleged that people demanded the removal of promotional materials for the show and threatened to disrupt it. She also said some critics asked her to remove “Warri” from her stage name.
