Four Arrested After Man Is Killed by Mob Over Theft Allegation in Minna

Police in Niger State have arrested four suspects over the killing of 30-year-old Sunday Pada in Korokpan, Minna, after he was accused of theft. Police said an alarm was raised on August 10, 2026, and a mob allegedly attacked Pada before he was stabbed. Officers from the Paiko Division reportedly arrived after the attackers had fled. He was taken to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead. Three suspects were reportedly located after an NDLEA raid in the area and handed over to the police, while a fourth was arrested separately. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation into alleged criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide.
