1 / 2

Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has shared his enduring affection for Everton. He scored 33 goals in 107 appearances and remains a fan favourite. During a recent visit to Goodison Park, he watched Everton secure a 3-0 win over Chelsea to the sound of his classic chant, “Feed the Yak and he'll score.” In an interview with the club’s official site, Yakubu thanked supporters for their warm reception. “The fans’ greeting meant so much,” he said. “Seeing my daughter and realising they still love me is something I will never forget.” Reflecting on his move from Middlesbrough, he added, “I fell in love from day one. It’s a special club – the People’s Club. I played my best football on Merseyside.” Yakubu also holds a rare Premier League record, scoring hat-tricks for three different clubs.
