From Abuja to Calabar and Beyond: Ekuke’s Incredible Escape

I recently heard a story I can’t stop thinking about. It’s about a dog named Ekuke and his fight for survival. In Dutse, Abuja, a dog meat trader known as Anwuruokwu captured Ekuke and loaded him with others for a journey to Calabar. Along the way, the truck crashed. Cages broke and most of the dogs didn’t survive. Alone and unclaimed, Ekuke wandered until he reached Kwande in Benue State—a place where dog meat isn’t eaten. There, Princess Miriam saw more than a stray. Her decision changed his fate. But Ekuke’s journey isn’t over. He may still have a reason to return to Dutse. I’m thinking of sharing the full story in parts. Would you read the next chapter?
