British Holidaymaker Arrested in Majorca After Alleged Attempt to Kiss Cabin Crew

British Holidaymaker Arrested in Majorca After Alleged Attempt to Kiss Cabin Crew

A British holidaymaker was arrested by Spanish police after allegedly trying to kiss a male cabin crew member on the neck during a Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Majorca. The 30-year-old passenger was reportedly heavily intoxicated and began causing a disturbance and flirting with the crew member. The pilot alerted Palma Airport authorities before landing, but the cabin attendant initially declined to press charges. The crew member later agreed to make a formal statement, and police detained the tourist as he attempted to board his return flight the next day. He has been released on bail pending the ongoing investigation into the June 29 incident.

Do you think intoxicated passengers who invade crew space should face stricter penalties, or was this arrest just a standard procedure?

It's odd that the report focuses solely on the attempted kiss rather than detailing any direct threats or harm to crew members.

It's interesting that the coverage highlights the kiss attempt but omits any mention of crew safety or potential threats.

While public drunkenness is unacceptable, arresting someone over a neck kiss attempt feels a bit over the top if no one was injured.

Airlines might need clearer guidelines and crew training on managing disruptive, intoxicated passengers before situations escalate to arrests.
