My Frustrating PVC Appointment at INEC Office

My Frustrating PVC Appointment at INEC Office — 1 of 3
1 / 3

I scheduled an appointment to continue my PVC registration today, but when I arrived at the INEC local government office, the gates were locked and nobody was around. A few others who came before me were just as confused. We later discovered that the registration team moves between wards without posting any notices. People travel far for appointments only to find the office closed and no equipment in sight. It felt like there’s only one capture machine for the entire local government. It’s disappointing how basic processes still fail in this country. On a brighter note, the area around the office is dominated by a huge monolith with tiny settlements nestled around it. I tried to capture its beauty, but my camera couldn’t do it justice.

Is INEC's voter database even updated enough to send timely SMS alerts to candidates?

It seems odd that the registration team didn't leave any notice about relocating to another venue.

Maybe the locked gates weren't negligence but a security measure we're not considering.

Always call ahead or check INEC social media channels before your appointment to avoid wasted trips.
