Soldiers Neutralise Terrorist, Rescue Three Kidnapped Victims in Zamfara Offensive

Troops of Sector 2 under Operation Fansan Yamma carried out a clearance operation on June 12 in Zurmi and Shinkafi LGAs of Zamfara State. During a patrol through Birnin Saba, Yanbuki and Sabon Garin Daudawa communities, soldiers encountered armed bandits in Yanbuki District. They engaged the terrorists, neutralised one suspect and recovered rifles, ammunition magazines, motorcycles, phones and camouflage gear. As troops advanced toward Sabon Garin Daudawa, the criminals fled and abandoned their camp. The soldiers then destroyed the hideout to prevent its reuse. A follow-up search led to the rescue of three kidnapped victims, who were safely evacuated. The Nigerian Army says it will maintain aggressive operations across the North-West until security is fully restored.
