Toddlers Among 50 Schoolchildren Kidnapped in Nigeria: Where Is Our Outcry?
Toddlers and young children are among more than 50 school pupils recently abducted in Nigeria. This is not an isolated event but a tragic pattern that demands urgent attention. We channel so much energy into protesting xenophobia in South Africa. We’ve seen TikToks, AU petitions, and loud voices against an issue that has not cost a single life so far. It’s time to direct that same pressure towards our own safety. We must call on the Nigerian government, the African Union, and global bodies to rescue these children immediately. To every Nigerian voice online and offline—especially those who spoke up against “Afrophobia”—let’s unite now. These toddlers didn’t ask to be born into danger. It’s on us to protect them.
