Night Stroll Turns Fatal: Woman Dies After Man Falls from 12-Storey Building in Nagoya

A 23-year-old woman has died from haemorrhagic shock after a 29-year-old man fell from a 12-storey apartment block and landed on her as she walked along a pavement in Nagoya’s busy Sakae district. The incident took place around 1am on July 19. Both victims were rushed to hospital. The woman later succumbed to her injuries, while the man remains unconscious and in critical condition. The woman’s friend, who was walking with her, escaped unharmed. Police have launched an investigation to determine how the man ended up on the building’s exterior. Officials are reviewing surveillance footage and local reports to establish whether the fall was accidental or intentional.
