World Cup 2026: Queiroz Warns of Tough Colombia Test in Round of 32

World Cup 2026: Queiroz Warns of Tough Colombia Test in Round of 32

Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz expects a challenging match against Colombia after the Black Stars finished third in Group L. Ghana suffered their first defeat of the tournament in a 2-1 loss to Croatia, closing the group stage with one win, one draw and one loss. Colombia topped Group K following a goalless draw with Portugal. Queiroz says the knockout rounds are “the real world championship,” where every game is win-or-go-home. The Round of 32 clash takes place on Sunday, July 5, at Kansas City Stadium. Queiroz has warned his players to be ready for a high-intensity encounter.

Ghana should focus on tightening their defense and exploiting Colombia's habits on the break to secure advancement.
