FCT Minister Threatens to Revoke Titles of Hotels Hosting Unauthorized Political Gatherings

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has warned operators of hotels, event centres and other public facilities against hosting meetings by unregistered groups. Any property linked to illegal organizations now risks losing its land title. The statement from the FCT Minister’s office says land in Abuja is strictly for lawful activities. Owners must verify the INEC-recognized status of any political party before approving bookings and keep clear transaction records. To protect public peace and support security efforts, the FCTA will intensify monitoring of all event venues. Failure to comply with the directive will trigger title revocation proceedings.
