Man Utd Near £35m Deal for Atalanta Midfielder Ederson

Manchester United have agreed a £35m deal with Italian side Atalanta to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson on a four-year contract plus an optional extra year. The 26-year-old will undergo a medical and is expected to join before pre-season training begins in July. He is the first signing under new head coach Michael Carrick. The fee could rise by £3.9m in add-ons as United aim to rebuild midfield depth following Casemiro’s exit. The club is also linked with Mateus Fernandes and Elliot Anderson. Beyond midfield, United are looking for a left-sided player and reviewing their goalkeeping ranks. Loan star Radek Vitek wants regular football, while Andre Onana has been told he can find a new club.
