UK Appoints Vicky Seymour as Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria
The UK government has appointed Vicky Seymour as Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, based in Abuja. She succeeds Gill Lever, whose tour of duty ended in June. Seymour will help strengthen UK-Nigeria cooperation in economic growth, security, migration, development and international engagement. She said she looks forward to meeting Nigerians across diverse communities and expanding collaboration between both countries. She brings more than 20 years of experience in diplomacy, international development and government. Her previous roles include heading the UK Foreign Office's East Africa Department, leading its Trade Diplomacy Department, and serving as Development Director in Mozambique.
