Yakubu’s All-Time Super Eagles XI Leaves Out Mikel and Osimhen

Yakubu’s All-Time Super Eagles XI Leaves Out Mikel and Osimhen

Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has named his all-time Nigeria XI, leaving out John Mikel Obi and Victor Osimhen. Yakubu chose Vincent Enyeama in goal, with Bright Osayi-Samuel, Joseph Yobo, Danny Shittu and Celestine Babayaro in defence. His midfield pairing is Sunday Oliseh and Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, while Finidi George and Julius Aghahowa play from the wings. Yakubu selected himself and Nwankwo Kanu as his two forwards. The choice of Osayi-Samuel at right-back, ahead of several former Super Eagles defenders, is also likely to spark debate among fans.

Leaving out both Mikel and Osimhen will naturally dominate the debate, even with Enyeama, Yobo and Babayaro included.
