Apply Now: President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme for Young Artisans

President Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme is a federal initiative by the Ministry of Works. It offers hands-on training in modern construction methods and field mentorship on key infrastructure sites. The programme aims to build a sustainable local talent pipeline, reduce youth unemployment, and strengthen project delivery across Nigeria. Participants receive monthly stipends, safety gear, certification on completion, and priority consideration for future government or contractor engagements. Eligible applicants must be Nigerian citizens aged 18 to 45 with recognized vocational credentials or verifiable practical experience. Candidates should be currently unemployed and fit for construction-related fieldwork. To apply, submit your CV, trade test certificate or proof of experience, passport photograph, valid means of identification, and LGA of origin certificate via email to the Federal Ministry of Works. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for verification and orientation.

This mentorship initiative sounds ambitious, but I'm skeptical about consistent on-site supervision and whether resources will match the training scope.

Mentorship alone won't bridge skill gaps without guaranteed certification and clear job placement afterward.

Interested artisans should prepare a portfolio of past work and focus on mastering modern construction techniques from day one.
