Obasanjo Credits IGP Disu for Saving Him During 1995 House Arrest

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has acknowledged that certain individuals played critical roles in safeguarding him during his 1995 house arrest. He singled out Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu, crediting him with helping to keep him alive while he was under confinement. Obasanjo spoke in a video shared by a national broadcaster to publicly express his gratitude towards the current IGP. He also advocated for the creation of state police, arguing they would understand local communities better and respond faster to security threats.
