Norwegian Teen Convicted in UK Over Foxtrot Gang Murder Plot
A Norwegian teenager, Johannes Kongsnes Natland, has been convicted in the UK of conspiring to commit murder after travelling to Manchester for an alleged contract killing linked to Sweden's Foxtrot Network. Prosecutors said the 19-year-old accepted payment to kill an unidentified person and travelled to Huddersfield, where he collected two firearms, ammunition, cash and a stolen vehicle. Armed police arrested him at a hotel before the planned shooting could take place. Natland admitted possessing the weapons but denied the murder conspiracy, claiming he had become trapped by the criminal network. The jury rejected his defence after a retrial. He will be sentenced later and faces a mandatory life sentence.
